walking holidays here in the beautiful Jalon
Valley, Costa Blanca in the south east of Spain. Walking
in Spain is dedicated to providing holidays tailor made
to suit you!
We have lived in and visited this area
for over 10 years now. We love the area, the people, the food the
wine and of course the wonderful weather. We hope that our local knowledge
can ensure you get the very best from your holiday. Our walks will
allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery this region of Spain has
to offer and range from gentle strolls to vigorous hill climbs, the
choice is simply yours!
With luxurious accommodation and all
the information you will require we are determined to provide you
with a holiday to remember.
We will ensure you have everything you
need to get the most from your holiday from maps and information for
all the walks available in the area to details of local restaurants,
tapas bars and places to visit.
This area of the Costa
Blanca has wonderful breathtaking scenery with many unspoilt
charming villages. There are many mountain walks here with spectacular
views and although well known by the locals they are relatively unknown
by the tourist industry.
Set in the Jalon
Valley surrounded by orange groves, almond trees and vineyards
the accommodation ranges from private villa with pool to luxury apartment
or town house. The choice is yours. We will provide you with all the
little luxuries to make your stay special.
On arrival the fridge will be well stocked
with wine, beer and soft drinks along with a welcome basket of groceries
and toiletries for your personal use all at no extra cost.
We can also provide guided walks, transport
to and from walks, and transport to and from the airport.
The climate here is ideal for walking
all year round, although with over 300 days of sunshine a year and
an average annual temperature of around 20 degrees it is always advisable
to bring a supply of suncream. We would advise that you bring suitable
clothing just in case you are unlucky to be here on one of the occasional
rainy days. Don’t worry though! if you do not wish to walk in the
rain there are plenty of places to visit and we can arrange transport
if required.
Although walking-spain
is principally for walkers, the area has much to offer besides.
We can provide details of walks which are suitable for all the family
including young children, we can arrange cycle hire and for the more
adventurous horse riding.
The beaches of Javea,
Calpe and Moraira are only 25 – 40 minutes away or if you would
like to visit Valencia or Alicante they
are 75 – 90 minutes by car. The bright lights of Benidorm and the
theme parks Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Aqualandia are only 35
minutes drive.
